This 14 days trip takes you to Masai Mara, Nakuru, Kericho, Jinja in Uganda, Kampala, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kabali, Lake Kivu, and ends in Kigali. The quoted price excludes gorilla permit for 800$ pp+ 100$ for transfer round trip pp to the mountains where the trekking starts.

Day 1 (Saturday): Clients arrive in Nairobi

You will be met by a Mara and Serengeti Expeditions Ltd's transfer driver and be driven to your city hotel for the overnight. Overnight at Sarova Panafric Hotel or Similar,today there will be a predeparture briefing with your driver guide to discuss more about the trip.( Bed and breakfast)

 

Day 2 (Sunday): Nairobi to Masai Mara

After breakfast you will drive  South West in to Masai Mara national reserve arriving on time for lunch then after lunch you will relax mid  evening when you will have your evening game drive, till evening, Overnight at Mara Sopa lodge or similar lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 3 (Monday): Full day in the Mara.

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart for the park where you will have a full day of amazing game drive on this seventh wonder of the world, returning to your lodge on time for lunch or or my opt for a full day with lunch packs that will make your lunch hour entertaining as you have your lunch tucked under a tree among several that have been identified to act as picnic sites. In the evening as you wind your day, you will have time for an optional visit to  a masai village where this traditional tribe will showcase their rich culture. Also this morning there is optional balloon ride at a cost of 450$ per person, this is not an event you don't regret having taken part in, we advise you to book this as you book your trip, to avoid disappointment on the material day. Overnight Mara Sopa lodge or similar, (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.)

 

Day 4 (Tuesday): Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Today we will leave Masai Mara at our own pace and drive to Lake Nakuru arriving on time for lunch, then an evening game drive, till sunset. Overnight, Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge or similar ( Breakfast, lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 5 (Wednesday): Full day Lake Nakuru National Park

Today after breakfast you will leave for the morning game game drive on this 388 Skm rhino sanctuary where both white and black rhinos are found and the rare and endangered Rothschild's giraffe and big cats are found except the cheetah. You will come back on time for lunch or you can opt for a full day with lunch packs. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or similar lodge (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

 

Day 6 (Thursday): Lake Nakuru to River Nile Uganda

Today, it's a long day on the road, armed with lunch packs, after an early breakfast, we leave the pack and drive westward passing through tea growing highlands of Kericho in the rift valley, famed for producing some of the best teas of the world, then on to the lakeside city of Kisumu where you will come face to face with this 84000square kilometers lake, the second largest in the world and the source of the longest river on the planet, River Nile. Upon crossing the border into Uganda side, we will drive for further 115km arriving late evening to our scenic hotel, on the banks of river Nile. Overnight at the Adrift River Club or similar ( Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 7 (Friday): Full day on the Nile

Today is our date with the mighty Nile where the high adrenaline optional activities are at our disposal, White water rafting, Bungy jumping, Jet boating and many others. Then after wards you will overnight at the Adrift River Club (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 8 (Saturday): Jinja to Kampala

Today we will leave Jinja at our own pace and drive to Kampala, arriving on time for lunch, and enjoy the rest of the evening leisurely, either taking. Walk in town or just chilling on the hotel. Overnight at Fairway Boutique Hotel, Kampala or similar (Breakfast, lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 9 (Sunday):  Kampala- Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today is an early breakfast, and armed with lunch packs, we proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the largest and beautiful packs in Uganda famous for it's large lions and the Ugandan kobs. We will be arriving late in the evening, check-in and relax for the evening enjoying the ampience of the lodge. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or similar lodge ( Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 10 (Monday): Full day in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast we will have our morning game drive where we will enjoy what this scenic park has to offer, returning to our Lodge for lunch, then chill till mid  evening for an included boat ride on the Kazinga channel that connects two famous lakes, lake Edward, and lake George. Slot of animals and birds are on show on this boat ride, then after wards we might have one more round in the park, or return to our lodge and call it a day. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 11 (Tuesday): Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kabale

After breakfast, and through another game drive as we exit the park, we will drive to the the town of Kabale, where we will be for three nights for our gorillas tracking at the Bwindi impenetrable National Park. Overnight at the 4 Gorillas Lodge or similar (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 12 (Wednesday): Kabale (Bwindi Impenetrable National Park)

Today you will leave very early and armed with lunch packs and after an early morning breakfast, you will be driven up in the mountains where the rangers will be waiting for you to take you home to our closest relatives, the mountain gorillas. You need to be armed with strong clothing,as the mornings are usually very chilly, strong boots, insect repellent, sunscreen, and enough water. Overnight at the 4 Gorillas Lodge or similar (breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 13 (Thursday): Kabale (Bwindi Impenetrable National Park)

Today will be the second day running for tracking of the Gorillas. After an early morning breakfast and armed with lunch packs, you will be driven up in the mountains again to track the mountain gorillas. Overnight at the 4 Gorillas Lodge or similar (breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

 

Day 14 (Friday):  Kabale to Lake Kivu (Rwanda)

After an early morning breakfast, we will drive westward towards Uganda - Rwanda, border, and upon checking into Rwanda, we will go through the town of Musanze, in the Ruhengeri Region and onto Gisenyi town in the Shores of Lake Kivu arriving on time for lunch. We will relax here for the evening and Overnight at the Kivu Hilltop View Hotel & Resort or similar (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.)

 

Day 15 (Saturday): Lake Kivu to Kigali Rwanda

Today after breakfast, we will drive South East and into this city of Kigali, enjoying the sceneries which make this magnificent Country really the land of a thousand hills. We will have a city tour of Kigali where we will begin with visiting the Rwandan genocide museum, where we will learn more about how this country has been able to spring back to a very promising country. This is a very touching site and it is not for the faint hearted. Then we will visit several other sites and finally we will be dropped off at our hotel where the tour comes to an end. Overnight at the Hotel Des Mille Collines  (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 16 (Sunday): End of Tour

After breakfast on this day, the tour ends. You will dropped off at Kigali International Airport for home bound flights (Breakfast).
