Day 1: Windhoek – Sossusvlei

Pick up time is 7.30 from your hotel. Windhoek is surrounded by mountains and we pass first over the Eros Mountains and then over the Khomas Hochland Range. As you come through the mountains you go down from the central Namibian plateau to grassy desert savannah, arrive during the late afternoon and have time to relax and explore the surroundings before sunset when the colors glow and change on the distant mountains to the east

Included: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Sossusvlei

Start early to catch the soft light of the sunrise over the desert, travel towards Sossusvlei with sand dunes rising up along both sides of the road. Stopover at the famous Dune 45, where those who feel fit may climb the dune and get a breathtaking view of the surrounding Namibian desert. After breakfast will take a desert walk in the cool of the morning, with the chance of seeing Gemsboks, Springboks, Black-backed Jackals and Ostriches. As the day cools down we will go on a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon before heading back.

The Pan is an extensive flat depression of about 5,000 km2. This great, white expanse is a place of shimmering mirages and seeing large herds of game in this setting makes Etosha a unique experience. You may stop at Halali middle camp to have lunch before you continue with your game drive to Namutoni. arriving late in the evening. The game viewing is usually excellent with close views of springboks, zebras, impalas, giraffes, gemsboks and plenty of birds. If we are lucky we may also have some close encounters with elephants and lions. Back at the camp you may enjoy a glass of wine and experience a fabulous sunset from the tower of the old German fort before dinner.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Activity

Day 6: Etosha to Windhoek

After an early morning breakfast, we will have another morning game drive and the opportunity to take some more pictures of Etosha’s wildlife in the soft morning light, as we  head back to the city.
